Start By Believing Campaign

SBB Pledge

Last year our office launched a Start By Believing campaign for Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This campaign is important to our community because over the past year we have seen a dramatic increase in filed sexual assault cases. The cornerstone of the Start By Believing campaign is to provide a supportive and compassionate response when someone tells you they were raped or sexually assaulted. When victims feel believed, they are more likely to report the crime to law enforcement, participate in prosecution activities and seek supportive services to begin the healing process. This campaign is social media driven and we have pop-up events throughout the month to collect community pledges to Start By Believing.

Join us in taking the pledge and tag our office on Facebook! #shastaDA #SBB #StartByBelieving

Hops for Hope

For Child Abuse Prevention Month our office is proud to invite you to an exciting event called Hops For Hope. This fundraiser is a call to action to send children to Camp HOPE. Camp HOPE America is the first evidence-based camping and mentoring program for children exposed to trauma in the United States. Our goal is to give children and teens their childhood back and help them find a Pathway to HOPE. Shasta County is one of a few counties who have been selected to participate but WE NEED YOUR HELP!!! Come be a HOPE giver and help us send our youth to this very inspiring camp!
