Professional Photocopier

Facts:

  • A Professional Photocopier is compensated for obtaining or reproducing certain documents authorized by law and who, while engaged in performing that activity has access to the information contained therein:
    • A Professional Photocopier who resides or has his or her principal place of business in Shasta County must be registered with the Shasta County Clerk. 
    • At least one person involved in the management of a Professional Photocopier is required to hold a current commission from the Secretary of State as a Notary Public in this state.

Registration requirements:

  • Professional Photocopier bond in the amount of $5,000
  • Valid picture identification.
  • Filing Fee
  • Applications are accepted Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Payment may be made by cash, preprinted checks, or money orders, made payable to Shasta County Clerk. Credit or debit cards  include a small convenience fee.

  • $196.00 - Professional Photocopier Registration - Not Process Server
  • $3.00 - Additional Page to Bond
  • $10.00 - Additional ID Card (only with employer authorization)
