Ombudsperson & Complaint Resolution

FOR CHILD SUPPORT ONLY

The Child Support Department Ombudsperson works with customers to resolve issues with child support cases, explain rights and responsibilities, and resolve customer inquiries or disputes.

The Ombudsperson can assist with:

  • Customer service
  • Timeliness of service
  • Payment and billing problems
  • Decisions to close a child support case

The Ombudsperson cannot assist with:

  • The amount of a child support order
  • Custody
  • Visitation
  • Divorce or spousal support orders
  • Matters that are not child support related
  • Actions taken or orders made by the court
