Shasta County's Response to Local Emergencies
COVID-19 Pandemic

Data and Statistics

The COVID Alert Level shows the public the current status of COVID-19 in Shasta County. It monitors seven indicators in three categories to provide an overall alert level, which measures disease status, the impact on the healthcare system and how effective community efforts have been in controlling the disease. Health officials are watching three additional indicators, but due to our county’s small numbers, they will not use those indicators to make decisions until they can study them for long enough to determine what a meaningful measurement would be.

This is based on an alert level system created by Vital Strategies, a global public health organization, and was modified by local officials to fit Shasta County’s small numbers.
