Crystal Johnson has lived in Shasta County for more than six years, and she is currently a Community Parent Partner for the Child Abuse Prevention Council. She graduated in the fall of 2015 from Simpson University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She earned her associate’s degree from Shasta College in office administration, and while attending Shasta, she was a Shasta County Citizens Advocating Respect Isaac Lowe scholarship recipient three times.
Crystal is in recovery after battling substance use disorders for 15 years, and she is in the process of pursuing a master’s degree in business, management and leadership. She is also a Brave Faces advocate for the Stand Against Stigma campaign.
