The program offers supportive services, including child care, transportation and other services necessary for a successful transition from welfare to work.

To remain eligible for these services, recipients of cash aid must participate in work or work-related activities, specified in an individual "Welfare-to-Work plan" that is developed with each client. For adults, there is a 48-month lifetime limit on eligibility for cash aid.
