Dave Dean
Captain, Services
Captain Dean has been a member of the Shasta County Sheriff's Office since May of 1980 and is currently Services Captain. Previous assignments have included: Search and Rescue Coordinator and Dive Team Leader. He currently coordinates nine Search and Rescue teams comprised of 200 volunteers and a fourteen person Overhead Team. Dave's responsibilities include emergency planning, disaster preparedness, training, disaster response and coordination, Search and Rescue, Dive Team, Explosives Unit, Boating Safety Unit, Homeland Security, Records, Hostage Negotiations Team, SWAT, and Personnel.
Program Manager, Services
In 2002, Evonne Hancock began her career with the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office in the Accounting Unit, working through the ranks to Senior Account Clerk. She was promoted to Program Manager of the Services Division in October 2007. Her responsibilities include oversight of the Records Unit and the Crime Analysis Unit as well as coordination of all Sheriff’s Office recognition programs. Evonne is the Information Technology liaison to the County IT Department and coordinates the communication technology for the Sheriff’s Office. Her law enforcement background includes working at the Probation Office. Evonne has a Bachelors Degree in Accounting and will be receiving her Masters Degree in Public Administration November 2009.
