The Shasta County Sheriff's Boating Safety Unit is located at Bridge Bay Resort on the main dock above the store on beautiful Lake Shasta. The unit is comprised of one full time Sergeant, one full time Investigator, two full time Deputies, and 22 Seasonal Deputies. The California Department of Boating and Waterways and local taxes fund the Boating Safety Unit. The unit is responsible for boating safety enforcement on all waterways within Shasta County.
