Within the region-wide area, there are 11 transfer stations located as shown on Figure 1 below. Ten are transfer stations within the Shasta County unincorporated area. The Buckeye Transfer Station is located within the City of Shasta Lake but is owned and operated by Shasta County. The Enterprise and Old Shasta transfer stations are utilized by the City of Redding and unincorporated Shasta County. The Buckeye Transfer Station is utilized by Shasta Lake, Redding, and the surrounding unincorporated areas. The remaining 8 transfer stations are utilized almost exclusively by the unincorporated areas of Shasta County.
