Shasta County - Adjacent to the east side of Black Ranch Road, one miles north of State Route 299 near the town of Burney (refer to Figure 1).

TYPES OF WASTE
ACCEPTED
This transfer station accepts general municipal waste only. Liquid wastes, special wastes, and hazardous wastes are prohibited. White goods and automobile batteries are permitted for storage and diversion by the operator.
CAPACITY 50 tons per day.
PLANNED FACILITY
EXPANSIONS
A medium-term diversion objective (1996-2000) of the Source Reduction and Recycling Element (SRRE) recommends that drop-off containers for yard waste be maintained at the transfer station.
EXISTING DIVERSION
RATE
Compartmentalized drop-off bins are provided at the transfer station for recyclable materials such as glass, aluminum, tin, and newspaper. Scrap iron, tires and batteries are also salvaged. Approximately 4.5% (198 tons) of the waste received at the transfer station is currently diverted.
