The Fall River Mills Airport is located at an elevation of 3,323 feet in the middle of the Fall River Valley 70 miles Northeast of Redding, California. The Fall River Valley is primarily an agricultural community, however, it does offer spectacular world class catch and release trout fly-fishing on the scenic Fall River, and a world class golf course is located minutes from the Fall River Airport. Shuttle service is available from the Airport to the Golf Course. The airport was originally built in the 1940's as a location to train pilots for action in World War II. Over the years, the airport has been maintained and upgraded largely due to funding provided from the California Aid to Airports Program (CAAP). Today the airport has nine permanent t-hangars, five Portable hangars, approximately 30 tie-downs, and provides aviation fuel sales. The airport is equipped with runway lights which are designed to be turned on at night by the pilots as they approach the airport. Hangar Leasing
Hangars are leased to individuals on a yearly basis. Currently, the Shasta County Department of Public Works has a waiting list for hangars. If you are interested in leasing a hangar, contact the Department to place your name on the list. Please note a $100.00 deposit is required in order to maintain your name on the waiting list.
