Make Your Community Walkable
Home > Public Health (PH) > Take Action! >> Walkable Community
To form your own neighborhood walking group:
- Get your group together (talk to neighbors, friends, colleagues)
- E-mail, call, or post a notice designating days to walk, a time, and a convenient meeting place
- Continue to promote the group – special t-shirts, hats, or buttons to call attention to it
- Participate as a team in charity/community walks for fun, to add variety, and to support a good cause
