Free Child Safety Seat Classes

child in properly fitted carseatLearn how to place a child in a seat correctly, the safest location for the seat in a car, proper seat installation, and the latest car seat laws. Low-cost car seats are available for those who qualify. Call to pre-register: (530) 245-6357.

Receive a Free Car Seat

Public Health is excited to offer a free car seat to expecting mothers who attend a child safety seat class! To earn a free coupon for the class, participants must be seen by a participating doctor, receive Medi-Cal, and attend three Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP) classes. Kids' Plates

Kids Plates graphicThe Child Safety Seat program, which aims to reduce the number of children who are injured or killed in crashes, is partially funded by Kids' Plates. Kids' Plates is a state license plate campaign that generates funds for child injury and abuse prevention, and childcare health and safety programs. California Kids' Plates can be purchased for cars, trucks and trailers. To purchase Kids' Plates, call 1-800-HEY-KIDS or visit kidsplates.org.
