The Probation Department serves all of Shasta County with a $14 million budget and 130 full-time and part-time staff. We operate the 45 bed Crystal Creek Boys Camp and a 56 bed Juvenile Hall, as well as supervising 1,700 adult felons and 600 juvenile wards of the Court. We conduct investigations and prepare requests for the Shasta County Juvenile and Superior Courts. We operate specialized programs that address criminal behavior and problems including the adult Addicted Offender Program, Sex Offender program, and Community Service Program. Juvenile programs include intensive services for mentally ill offenders and those with substance abuse problems.
