"My strong sense of community is based firmly in family values. I am a native resident of Shasta County.  Together, my wife Susie and I, married 35 years, have three children and seven grandchildren.  When I'm asked why I serve our community, I share that it is to encourage, to strengthen families and to grow relationships.  I serve because I value the people that live, work and play in Shasta County, this place we proudly call home." - Les

Les provides focus and accountability on the issues:  basic services such as public health, safety and core infrastructure, balancing growth and jobs in harmony with the character of our communities, emphasis on "listening to community needs," and delivering service to the public responsively, effectively, and consistently - with a proven commitment to responsible fiscal management.
