District 3 - Supervisor Glenn Hawes

Glenn Hawes was elected to the Board of Supervisors in 1997. Glenn is a fourth generation rancher and businessman, with his family's original ranch located southeast of Redding, serving as his principal residence for him and his wife, Wanda. Glenn graduated from California State University at Chico with a degree in Agriculture.
His background and experience in serving on the Shasta County Planning Commission, Farm Bureau, Fair Board, and the Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Committee eminently qualifies him to function on the Board of Supervisors.
Mr. Hawes serves as the Board's liaison on land use matters and is its representative on the Upper Sacramento River Advisory Council, the Solid Waste Hearing Panel, the California State Association of Counties, the Shasta County Regional Transportation Planning Agency, and serves on the Sacramento Valley Basin wide Air Pollution Control Council (APCB appt.).
