Structural Pest Control Business Registration

Effective January 1, 2008, structural pest control businesses and certain structural pest control licensees must register with each county before conducting business in that county (see AB 1717; Chapter 338, Statutes of 2007). The new law adds Food and Agriculture Code (FAC) section 15204.5 and amends sections 15204 and 13000, establishing a county registration requirement to replace the previous county notification process.

New forms have been prescribed by the Director of the Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) after consulting with the Structural Pest Control Board and the County Agricultural Commissioners (CAC). The forms below must be used for 2008 registration for Shasta County. We cannot accept notice of intent forms from prior years. If you plan to register in multiple counties, please contact those counties for their registration forms.

Shasta County Branch 1 Registration Form

The law requires the inclusion of a "responsible person" on the registration form (DPR interprets "responsible person" to be the branch supervisor as defined in Business and Professions Code section 8611).

It also requires "in person" registration for branch 1 pest control. If allowed by the CAC, only one responsible party need appear in person. The responsible party appearing in person and signing the registration form may be either the qualifying manager or branch supervisor.
